| Belt Conveyor: | Chain Conveyor (Apron Conveyor): | Drag Chain Conveyor (En-Masse Conveyor): |
| Application: Used for the horizontal or low-incline transport of dried strands. Due to its smooth operation and low noise, it causes minimal damage to the dried strands. Characteristics: Typically designed with a trough shape to increase capacity. The belt material must be wear-resistant. Sometimes, side skirts and cleats are added for steeper inclines. |
Application: Used for transporting wet, heavy, or large-piece wood chips/strands, especially at the infeed and outfeed of the dryer. Characteristics: Composed of chains driving metal slats, it is robust, impact-resistant, heat-resistant (suitable for hot material from the dryer outlet), and has a high load-bearing capacity. |
Application: Mainly used for conveying wet strands before drying, and for transferring material at the bottom of various bins (e.g., pre-dryer bin, pre-blender bin). Characteristics: Material is dragged along a enclosed trough by a chain with flights. The advantages are excellent sealing, preventing dust escape, and the ability to achieve multiple feed and discharge points, making it ideal for bin discharge. |
| 1.Drying, Blending, and Forming Section This stage requires extremely high precision and stability in conveying. |
2. Pressing and Post-Processing Section This stage handles the already formed mats and boards, which are large and heavy. |
3. Sanding and Finished Product Handling Section |
| Main Conveyor Types: Belt Weigher / Weigh Belt Feeder: Located after the dryer and before the blender, it is used to continuously and accurately weigh the mass flow of dried strands. This is a key device for controlling the resin ratio. Screw Conveyor: Primarily used for short-distance transportation of powdered additives (e.g., wax, hardener) and resin (e.g., MDI, phenolic resin). Inside the blender, it is also the main mixing and conveying component. Pneumatic Conveying System:Used to transport dried strands from the drying system to the dry strand bin, or to transfer material between different bins. Forming Belt Conveyor:This is one of the cores of the OSB production line. It carries the moving formed mat (composed of oriented strands) and conveys it uniformly to the pre-press and the hot press. |
Main Conveyor Types: Mat Conveyor: Quickly and accurately centers the formed mat and feeds it into the hot press. Press Loader / Unloader: These are specialized equipment paired with the hot press, essentially multi-layer (corresponding to the number of press openings) lifting frames and conveyor systems. Steel Belt Drive System: In a continuous press, the mat is heated and pressed between two massive, circulating heated steel belts. Roller Conveyor / Roller Table: Used after pressing to transport the hot OSB boards to the cooling star, cross-cut and trim saws, etc. Belt/Roller Combination Conveyor: Used in cooling stars. Boards are lifted and separated one by one, cooled naturally in the air, and then conveyed out by the conveyor. This process requires smooth lifting and conveying actions. |
Main Conveyor Types: Infeed/Outfeed Roller Tables:To feed the boards precisely into the sander and receive the sanded boards. Belt Conveyor: Used for horizontal transport of finished boards in the grading, inspection, and packaging sections. Stack Lifting/Turning Station:Used to lift stacked OSB boards (for easy forklift handling) or turn them 90 degrees. |
