2. Structural Composition

Raw material grading: The crushed wood shavings or wood chips are separated by size and classified into qualified materials, oversized materials and oversized materials.

Impurity removal: Screen out dust, debris or other impurities from the raw materials to improve the quality of OSB plates.

Process optimization: Provide uniform raw materials for subsequent drying, gluing and laying processes to ensure the stability of the board structure

The main body of the drum: A cylindrical screen placed at an incline or horizontally, composed of multiple layers of screens with different hole diameters (usually 2-3 layers).

Drive unit: motor, reducer and gear/chain transmission system, driving the drum to rotate slowly.

Screen mesh: Multi-layer design. The inner screen mesh has a larger aperture, while the outer layer gradually becomes smaller, achieving step-by-step screening.

Support frame: Supports the drum and adjusts the inclination Angle (usually 5° - 10°), affecting the material retention time.

Feed port and discharge port: They are respectively used for raw material input and output after classification.

Screen cleaning device: Prevents screen holes from being clogged (such as spring rods or brushes)

Feeding: The wood shavings enter the inner layer of the rotating drum through the feeding port.

Screening: When the drum rotates, the material rolls along with the screen and moves towards the lower end under the action of gravity.

The smallest particles (qualified materials) pass through the inner screen and fall into the middle or outer layer.

Medium-sized particles pass through the middle layer of the screen but are intercepted by the outer layer.

The overly large particles are discharged from the end of the drum.

Graded output: Materials of different sizes are discharged from the corresponding discharge ports and enter the next process respectively or are recycled and reprocessed

High-efficiency classification: The multi-layer screen design enables the separation of multiple particle sizes at one time.

Low energy consumption: The drum naturally screens by gravity, and the power demand is relatively low.

Adjustability: Different process requirements can be adapted by adjusting the rotational speed, inclination Angle or screen mesh aperture.

Durability: The screen mesh is made of wear-resistant metals (such as 65Mn steel) or polyurethane materials, ensuring a long service life
