China Continuous Flat Press

The continuous flat press is a core equipment in the production of artificial boards (such as particle board, medium density fiberboard (MDF), and OSB). It adopts a continuous hot pressing process and, compared with traditional intermittent multi-layer presses, has advantages such as high production efficiency, low energy consumption, and stable board quality

√ Cheif Component

 - The feeding system evenly conveys the laid slabs into the press
 - The steel strip system consists of two high-strength steel strips (usually 3-5mm thick), which drive the slab continuously through the hot-pressing zone
 - The heating system heats the pressure plate with hot oil or steam, and the temperature is usually 180-240℃
 - hydraulic system provides pressure (3-6 mpa) to control the thickness and density of the sheet
 - The cooling section lowers the temperature of the sheet to prevent deformation
 - The cutting system cuts the continuously pressed plates into standard sizes

 - Steel belt tension control: Real-time adjustment of steel belt tension to prevent deviation or wrinkling.

 - Zoned pressure regulation: By independently controlling the pressure of different sections through multiple sets of hydraulic cylinders, the density distribution of the plates is optimized.

 - Online thickness detection: Laser or ultrasonic sensors monitor the thickness of the sheet in real time and provide feedback to adjust the pressure.

 - Heat energy recovery: Utilizing the waste heat from exhaust gas to preheat the slab, reducing energy consumption

Working Process

Laying and forming: Shavings or fibers are formed into uniform slabs by a laying machine.

Pre-pressing: The slab is initially compacted by a pre-press to reduce thickness fluctuations when entering the continuous press.

Continuous hot pressing

After the slab enters the press, the steel belt drives it through the high-temperature and high-pressure zone, where the adhesive (such as urea-formaldehyde resin, phenolic resin) cures rapidly.

The pressure of the press is controlled by zones to ensure the density gradient of the board (such as high density on the surface layer and low density in the core layer).
