Hollow particleboard is a type of particleboard with a special structure. Its interior is designed with regularly arranged hollow holes, while the exterior retains a smooth particleboard surface

1. Structure and Production
Internal hollow structure: Through molds or special equipment, uniformly distributed circular, square or other shaped hollow holes are formed in the core part of the board, and the holes are supported by ribs between them.
The surface layer is dense: Both sides are still covered with a dense layer of particleboard to ensure a smooth surface, which is convenient for subsequent veneering or processing.
The material is mainly wood shavings or scraps, combined with adhesives (such as urea-formaldehyde resin), and formed by hot pressing, but less material is used for the core layer
2. Core Features

Core layer forming
Mold method: Place the formwork with protrusions on the paving line, and the wood shavings form hollow holes around the protrusions (the diameter of the holes is usually 20 to 50mm).
Roller pressing method: By using specially designed rollers to press out continuous grooves in the core layer, and then covering the upper layer of wood shavings to form a closed cavity.
Surface coating: Cover with fine shavings to ensure a smooth surface.
