The short-cycle veneering hot press machine is an efficient and automated equipment for artificial board surface decoration. It is mainly used for rapid veneering of substrates such as particleboard, density board, and OSB (such as melamine impregnated paper, PVC film, wood veneer, etc.). It features a short production cycle, high efficiency, and energy conservation and environmental protection.
Core Function
√ Fast hot-pressing veneering: In a high-temperature and high-pressure environment, the decorative material (such as impregnated paper, PVC) is bonded to the substrate. The single cycle time is usually 15 to 60 seconds.
√ High-precision control: Ensure that the finish has no bubbles, no warping, and no color differences.
√ Continuous production: Suitable for automated assembly lines, and can be linked with cutting, sanding and other equipment.

√ Loading system
Automatic board feeder: Precisely feeds the substrate (particle board, density board) into the press machine.
√ Dust removal device: Removes dust from the substrate surface, enhancing the adhesion of the veneer.
√ Hot pressing system
Heating plate: Stainless steel or chrome-plated steel plate, with built-in heating tubes (for oil heating or electric heating).
Pressure system: Driven by hydraulic cylinder or servo motor, with pressure range of 5 to 30 bar.
√ Temperature control system: Multi-zone independent temperature control (commonly set at 160 - 220°C).
Finishing surface paving system
√ Automatic unwinding device: Used for continuous rolls of materials (such as PVC film).
√ Cutting device: Precisely cuts sheet-shaped decorative materials (such as impregnated paper).
Cooling and Discharge System
√ Air-cooled or water-cooled devices: Quickly cool and shape the material, preventing it from deforming.
Automatic stacking machine: Output of finished sheet materials in stacked form.

| The MDF Production Process |
MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) is an artificial board made from wood fibers through heat-pressing and gluing. It features uniform density, smooth surface, and easy processing, and is widely used in furniture, decoration, packaging and other fields.
1. Raw materials
Wood: Fast-growing forests (such as pine and eucalyptus), wood processing residues (such as scraps and sawdust).
Non-wooden fibers (optional): Rice husks, sugarcane residue, straw, etc. (Requires special treatment)
2. Raw material processing
Chipping: The wood is chipped into 20-30mm wood chips using a chipping machine.
Cleaning: Remove silt and metal impurities (which affect the lifespan of the equipment).
Steaming and softening: The wood chips are heated in a steam tank (at 160-180°C for 3-5 minutes) to soften the lignin.
3. Fiber preparation (fiber separation)
(1) Thermal grinding machine (Defibrator).
Process: The wood chips are ground into fibers under high temperature and high pressure, and at the same time, a bonding agent (resin + wax) is sprayed in.
(2) Pipeline dryer (airflow drying).
Objective: Reduce the fiber moisture content to 8% to 12% (excessively high moisture content may cause the slab to separate, while too low moisture content may lead to dust emission)
4. Mat forming
Evenly pave to avoid uneven density.
Layered paving (fine fibers on the surface + coarse fibers in the core) is used to improve the surface quality.
5. Continuous multi-rolls Pre-press
Objective: To reduce the thickness of the slab to facilitate transportation and hot pressing.
Parameters: Cold pressing pressure: 0.5 - 1 MPa, Time: 30 - 60 seconds
6. Hot pressing
High-pressure section: Rapid closure, pressing the slab.
Pressure retention stage: The adhesive has fully cured.
Pressure relief section: Prevents the sheet from rebounding and cracking
7. Post-treatment
Cooling method: Natural cooling or air cooling to room temperature (to avoid deformation caused by internal stress).
- Sanding
Equipment: Broadband sanding machine (coarse sand + fine sand).
Objective: Thickness tolerance ±0.2mm, surface roughness ≤20μm.
- Edge trimming and cutting
Cut according to the standard size (e.g. 1220×2440mm).
- Quality Inspection and Packaging
Testing items:
Density, flexural strength at room temperature (MOR), and internal bonding strength (IB).
Formaldehyde emission (E0 ≤ 0.05mg/m³, E1 ≤ 0.124mg/m³).
