1. What is the Fiberboard /MDF boards?
Medium-density fibreboard (abbreviated as MDF) is an artificial board. It is widely used in modern furniture manufacturing and interior decoration.
Raw materials for MDF boards production:
- Fast growing wood such as Pine, Poplar, Eucalyptus and so on
- Wastage of wooden board such as sawdust, chips, board edges and so on
- Non-wood plant fibers
Application of Fiberboards:
- Furniture making:
such as the cabinets, bookcases, beds, and desks' frames or panels, on its surface laminated natural veneer, pvc, or melamine paper
- Shaped door panels: Due to the ease of carving and shaping of medium-density fiberboard, it is often used as the base material for thermoforming door panels (coated door panels) and painted door panels.
- Interior decoration:
Decorative wall panels / wall cladding: Used as the base layer or decorative panel for the background wall or wall skirt.
Door core material: As the internal filling material or framework of a wooden door.
Stair treads and window sills: Utilizing their stability
- Packing and Artware:
Used for making packaging boxes for high-end products, audio equipment shells, jigsaw puzzles and display stands, etc.
2. What is the Production process of Fiberboards?
The MDF production line uses mainly artificial fast-growing small-diameter wood, branches, logging residues and processing residues as raw materials. After being shredded, screened, heated ground, coated, dried, sorted by air, laid out, pre-pressed, trimmed edges, and thermally pressed into shape, it enters a high-speed double diagonal saw for precise cutting according to the specified length. The finished rough boards are transported by a conveyor to a star-shaped drying rack, and the dried boards are then sent by a conveyor to a double stacker for stacking. The stacked boards are transported by a forklift to a sand saw line for cutting, and the cut boards enter the sorting area for grading. The graded finished products are transported by a forklift to the finished product storage area for storage.
