1. Plywood:
Complete Wood Based Panel Machine
It is made of multiple layers of thin plates (veneer) arranged in a criss-cross pattern
  A plate material made of glued rows.
 To produce 1 cubic meter of plywood: approximately 2.5 cubic meters of logs are needed.
  It can be used instead of boards made of 4.3-5.7 cubic meters of logs.
 Developing the production of artificial panels: saving wood and utilizing it effectively
  An important way to improve the utilization rate of wood.
 Veneer production method: Log Sawing; Debarker; Veneer Slicer; Veneer Stacker; Veneer Dryer; Glue Mixer; Glue Spreader; Cold Press; Hot Press Machine; Flim Faced Hot Press;Plywood Cutting Machine; Plywood Sanding Machine.

A: Structural features of plywood

1. Symmetry
   The corresponding layers on both sides of the symmetrical center plane of the plywood correspond to the tree species, fiber direction, thickness, number of layers, manufacturing method and moisture content of the veneer.
2. Odd-numbered layers
  The symmetrical center plane of odd-numbered layers of plywood is on the wood to ensure strength.
3. Texture interleaving
The fiber directions of adjacent layers of veneers that make up plywood are perpendicular to each other or at an angle. Ensure that the tensile strength in all directions is basically consistent.
Logs are made into plywood, and the physical and mechanical properties are changed.

B: Classification of plywood

(1) Ordinary plywood:
      Weather-resistant and boiling water-resistant plywood (phenolic resin glue)
      Water-resistant plywood (urea-formaldehyde resin glue)
      Moisture-resistant plywood (blood glue)
      Moisture-intolerant plywood (bean gum)
(2) Special plywood:
     Plywood for aviation (light, high strength)
     Plywood for ships (water resistant)
    Grade: The grade is determined based on the material defects and processing defects visible on the processed plywood. It is generally divided into four grades: special grade, first grade, second grade, and third grade.

C:  Adhesive

1. Protein glue:
(1) Soybean gum:
      It is mainly made of soybean protein as raw material and heated to change its properties. There are soy flour gum and soy protein gum.
      Features: odorless, non-toxic, not water resistant. It is a vegetable protein glue.
(2) Blood glue:
       Made from hemoglobin in blood. There are blood powder glue and blood glue.
       Features: Non-toxic but easy to contaminate the board surface, not very water-resistant. It is animal protein glue.
The advantages of protein glue: wide sources of raw materials, non-toxic, relatively cheap, simple equipment, easy to manufacture, and can be used for gluing small-area parts of artificial boards and wood products.
Disadvantages of protein glue: poor water resistance, not resistant to bacteria and insect corrosion, so it is rarely used.
2. Synthetic resin glue:
(1) Urea-formaldehyde resin glue:
      It is formed by artificial polycondensation of urea and formaldehyde under the action of a catalyst.
      Advantages: high bonding strength, good water resistance and heat resistance, corrosion resistance, white and transparent viscous body, not easy to pollute the board surface.
      Disadvantages: It has a pungent smell, has a certain impact on human health, and causes certain pollution to the surrounding environment.
(2) Phenolic resin glue:
      It is formed by the condensation polymerization of phenols and formaldehyde under the action of catalyst.
      Advantages: high strength, best water resistance, weather resistance, can be used under various conditions.
      Disadvantages: darker color, brittle glue layer, high cost.

D: Plywood production process

Production method:
   Dry, wet: refers to the moisture content of the veneer (dry veneer, wet veneer)
   Cold and hot: refers to the gluing method (cold pressing, hot pressing)
(1) Moist heat method:
     Wet veneer is used, glued and directly hot-pressed to make plywood.
(2) Dry cooling method:
     Use dry veneer and glue it with a cold press.
(3) Dry heat method:
     Use dry veneer for hot pressing to make plywood
     Features: short gluing time (short production cycle), high productivity, high quality plywood, high strength, can be spliced, improving wood utilization. But the cost is high.

2. Particle board

Complete Wood Based Panel Machine
Particleboard: It is an artificial board-like material made of wood processing residues or small-diameter wood as raw materials, processed into shavings by special machine tools, adding a certain amount of adhesive, and then shaped and hot-pressed.
  According to statistics: 1.3 cubic meters of wood (waste wood) can produce 1 cubic meter of particleboard, and 1 cubic meter of particleboard can replace 3 cubic meters of logs. Particleboard production is also an effective way to rationally utilize and save wood.
Purpose
        Particleboard is mainly used in: furniture manufacturing, building interior decoration, product packaging, transportation and other industrial sectors.

A: Classification of particleboard

1. According to the density of particleboard:
   Low density board (lightweight particle board) 250-400 kg/cubic meter;
   Medium density board 400-800 kg/cubic meter;
   High density board 800-1200 kg/cubic meter.
2. Divided by manufacturing method: flat pressed particleboard; roller pressed particleboard;
3. According to the structure of particle board:
A. Single-layer particle board:
B. Three-layer particle board:
C. Gradient structure particle board:
D. Directional structure:
4. According to surface condition:
   Unfinished particle board (sanded, unsanded);
   Veneer particle board:
5. According to raw materials:
   Wooden particle board
   Non-wood particle board (flax, bagasse, cotton stalk, reed, etc.).

B: Advantages of particle board:

1. It has good sound absorption and sound insulation properties; particle board is heat-insulating and sound-absorbing.
2. The interior is granular with a cross-stacked structure. The performance in each direction is basically the same and the lateral load-bearing capacity is good.
3. The particle board has a smooth surface, realistic texture, uniform bulk density, small thickness error, resistance to pollution, aging resistance, beautiful appearance, and can be used for various veneers;
4. In the production process of particleboard, the amount of glue used is small, and the environmental protection coefficient is relatively high.
Disadvantages of particle board:
1. The interior has a granular structure and is not easy to mill;
2. It is easy to cause protruding teeth when cutting panels, so some processes require higher processing equipment; it is not suitable for on-site production.

3. Fiberboard and classification
Complete Wood Based Panel Machine
Fiber board: It is made of plant fiber as raw material and is made through processes such as hot grinding, paving, and hot pressing.

1. According to raw materials:
   (1) Wooden fiberboard
   (2) Non-wood fiberboard
2. According to density
  (1) Hard fiberboard: density above 800 kg/cubic meter;
  (2) Semi-rigid fiberboard: density between 400-800 kg/cubic meter;
  (3) Soft fiberboard: density below 400 kg/cubic meter.

1. Characteristic

The surface of the density board is smooth and flat, the material is fine, the performance is stable, the edges are firm, and the surface of the board has good decorative properties. The internal structure is uniform, the density is moderate, the dimensional stability is good, the deformation is small, and the physical and mechanical properties are moderate. However, density board has poor moisture resistance, and in comparison, density board has worse nail-holding power than particleboard. If the screws become loose after tightening, it will be difficult to fix due to the low strength of density board.

Hard fiberboard: high strength, mostly used in packaging boxes, decoration of vehicles and ships, construction industry and furniture production.
Soft fiberboard: has insulation, heat insulation, sound absorption and other properties. Mainly used in the construction sector, such as broadcast studios, theater ceilings and sidings, listening room sidings, etc.
Semi-rigid fiberboard (medium density fiberboard): mainly used for furniture making and interior decoration of houses. The most versatile.
